The MC602 Satellite Router provides a standalone communications solution in areas where technologies such as DSL or GSM are not available or are too costly.
It consists of a compact weatherproof satellite transceiver, capable of download and upload speeds of up to 384 kbps. The satellite transceiver is deployed with the Metacom MC604 Intelligent Router, which controls all communication and power cycling. The MC602 can be used as a primary communication option with GSM (HSPA) failover, or as a failover solution to another technology such as Diginet. The MC602 continuously monitors the satellite connection and automatically restores it if lost.
A dedicated Power Management Unit provides the satellite transceiver and MC604 router with a stable, clean power supply. Various input supply voltages are catered for.
