Metacom Business provides Virtual Private Network (VPN) connectivity to customers across Southern Africa reliably, securely and cost effectively.
Our solutions for customers such as PEP and Ackermans, among the largest retailers on the subcontinent, build on our own range of routers and modems as well as the Metacom Communication Network. This enables us not only to deliver robust, low-cost communications that meet business requirements, but also to maintain tight security and to manage the entire network seamlessly on our clients’ behalf. Our International Operations Centre (IOC) constantly monitors connectivity and in the event of any network downtime, are able to restore communications so quickly our clients are not even aware of it.
Retailers use Metacom to connect remote stores, financial transaction partners and distribution networks to central systems across our state of the art MPLS backbone. We aim to build networks so seamless that a remote site in Mafikeng or Esikhaweni can be managed as easily as if it were the PC next door on the LAN.
All R&D, manufacturing and remote engineering support is based at our head office in Cape Town, with support capability in all South Africa’s major centres to serve local and cross-border clients.
